We worked with the Google Pixel 2 team + a small army of Pixel experts to create two custom-built activations for guests to discover on the festival grounds.

A three day immersive art, music, film, and learning festival in downtown Los Angeles curated by David Lynch, we crashed the Festival of Disruption with a custom duotone Smilebooth, our best roaming photographers, and a celebrity portrait studio, delivering thousands of images for the event’s social media channels and giving everyone attended unique memories to share with their friends.
Events in NYC, LA, and London keep Oculus on the top of people’s minds (and shopping lists) as press and consumers head into the holiday season. Gamers, industry reviewers and media bloggers tested out all of Oculus’s latest tech while Smilebooth captured unique video formatted for smartphones that masqueraded as an Oculus TV spot. Not only that, we also took portraits, turned them into posters, and printed them on the spot for guests to take home. It’s true: bigger really is better.
Smilebooth designed and built immersive, large scale activations for Sony’s #BeAlpha campaign in cities all across the United States (including NYC, LA, Boston, Chicago, Nashville, San Francisco, and Seattle). These events cater to aspiring and professional photographers, so in addition to our activations, we set up an array of spectacular photo opportunities throughout each event so you can hardly turn a corner without stumbling upon an incredible photo opportunity. Thousands of attendees took home stylized images with custom overlays, and our roaming photographers captured the behind-the-scenes action of these epic #BeAlpha events.

Vans House Party, art installation, and concert?! Why didn’t you say something sooner! Vans asked Smilebooth to come along and help document a series of concerts hosted at House of Vans in Brooklyn. With headlining bands like Against Me!, Blondie, Deerhunter, and Pennywise, we designed custom animated overlays that turned each guest’s GIF into a rockin’ animated concert poster.
