Kat Von D Turns 10!
When Kat Von D celebrated 10 years of awe-inspiring success for her cosmetic company, she knew she needed a series of photo and video activations to help push her celebration to the next level, so she called Smilebooth.
Luckily, we came prepared with 2 radically different activations to meet Kat’s needs.
Photo-Couture
As guests entered the party and walked past the contortionists on pedestals, they were ushered into our first activation. Here, we shot custom slow-motion videos for each guest, complete with fans and glimmering gold confetti to heighten the haute-couture. In real time, these videos were displayed on a custom video-wall for all guests to see.
Tucked in another corner of the event, we installed a video diary booth. Microphone in hand, guests could directly address the camera in a confessional-style video to share with Kat their joy and well-wishes as her company moves into the future of cosmetics.
