Outdoor movie nights are our favorite summer night activity! Netflix sponsored this year's Bryant Park Movie Nights in NYC, with movies ranging from Anchorman, Coming to America, and Carrie. Each night Netflix surprised audiences with a trailer for an upcoming movie, and Smilebooth got to place users inside three special titles. For To All The Boys I Loved Before 2, we used a greenscreen backdrop to place movie goers inside Lara Jean's iconic bedroom. For Sextuplets we kept it clean with a colored backdrop + GIF to match the branding of the title. Finally, we got wild with the preview of In Between Two Ferns! We duplicated the iconic set for users to sit in with Zach Galifinakis in a digital overlay. Working with the writers of Funny or Die, the Smilebooth team developed a custom code which assigned users a random subtitle along with their typo-ed name. Each activation was branded perfectly for each unique title. We loved working with the creative teams of Netflix and look forward to the next!
